  • GMC MULUGU

    GMC MULUGU is about 2.5Km away from our general hospital.

    Campus datails:(pics on google)
    The Campus is quite big with 3 blocks.
    Block A, had the office, labs, dissection halletc.
    It also has a badminton court. Behind this block we have a volley ball court.
    Block B, is where the hostel (ground)and classes(first floor) are taken.
    Block C is for nursing students.

    Hostel and mess details:I dont stay in the hostel but did experience it… Alhamdulillah, the mess food is very decent ,taste wise. The washrooms are maintained well by the janitors and there is also an area for laundry. Mostly there are 2 mates per room or if the room is big, more people join. As of now there seems to be no arrangement for juniors hostels, but rooms are available though. We dont have geysers or washing machines.
    Students are encouraged do go study in the library/lecture halls rather than their rooms.
    NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE WITHOUT PERMISSION, AND PERMISSION IS NOT GRANTED UNLESS FOR A VALID REASON.

    Boys still didnt get permission even to ho for friday prayer.

    Practicals details:we got our cadaver for dissection and histo slides too alhamdulillah, so thats covered. Physiology practicals were also taken well in the lab. However, Biochemistry practicals are scarce due to lack of reagents. Hopefully they will be ready for the next batch.

    Teaching and faculty:We pretty much almost never get professors to teach us, mostly PGs from KMC, GANDHI ETC, cuz its a new college.
    We do have HODs, but the only one we meet often is the Anatomy HOD.
    Teaching is fine, much of the faculty does make effort to teach properly and also use a whiteboard if needed. But they keep changing every few months, so we cant tell how the next ones will be.I PERSONALLY DONT CARE, CUZ IN THE END HOW YOU STUDY OUT OF CLASS IS WHAT TRULY MATTERS ,AND MOST MBBS STUDENTS USE MARROW AND OTHER ONLINE SOURCES ANYWAY SO….

    The principal is a very nice person in general and is very supportive for academics and sports, May Allah guide him.

    Hospital:The hospital is in Mulugu, and i visited it many times and its pretty much always full. I asked one if the faculty about the patient flow, he said it to be 20,000 per month(roughly) (OP).Its on NH 163 so… Many trauma cases are seen.
    There is a ground and first floor. The ICU and other operation theatres are on the first floor.
    Infrastructure of college is good and hospital is ok… (Kinda old)

    Alhamdulillah, there is no issues for namaz or anything like that. No discrimination as such

    BOYS AND GIRLS HOSTEL ARE IN THE SAME BUILDING BUT WITH PROPER SEGREGATION.

    LOTS OF MONKEYS AND OCCASIONALLY SNAKES ARE ENCOUNTERED IN THE CAMPUS.

    THERE IS NO HALAL SHAWARMA PLACE IN MULUGU!!!

    Government medical College,yadadri is located in pagidipalli,Yadadri bhuvanagiri.
    *Campus*:As we have old building now.The infrastructure is not so good.We are a batch of 50 students so we have small classroom.
    Labs are adequate for us with all proper facilities.
    For Dissection we had two cadavers one male and female and specimens of limbs and organs etc were also provided.
    We are divided into two batches of 25 students(A&B) each labs and dissection is conducted for 2 batches seperately.
    Library is available but not accessible yet
    Cleanliness is maintained in classrooms
    As it is in rural areas we have greenery and peaceful environment
    *Hostel*:
    6 students in one room(large rooms)
    Reading room is provided with table and chair for students in both boys and girls hostel
    *Mess*:Food is okay
    Non veg 2,3 times in a week
    *Faculty*: Faculty is good and well qualified they are mostly from top government colleges
    Academically it’s good
    Classes,tests and exams are conducted.
    *Extracurricular*:We had some events and freshers is also being conducted.
    Sports facilities are also available.
    *Student Life*: Students are friendly
    *Location and connectivity*: Direct buses(yadgirigutta pallevelugu) from major bus stops in hyderabad like jbs,mgbs,uppal
    Nearest busstop is pagidipalli 10 min walk from college.
    It takes max 1 hour from uppal.
    Overall it’s a comparably good choice if u are looking for government college near to city

  • GMC MAHESHWARAM

    •INTRODUCTION
    NAME – GMC MAHESHWARAM
    LOCATION – BIET campus , Ibrahimpatnam
    We have a separate buliding in the campus for lectures and staff rooms are also present in the same buliding
    There’s another buliding in which we have been alloted dissection hall ( 1 cadaver for 50 students ) , histology lab , biochemistry lab and physiology lab .
    New campus is under construction at TIMS Kothapet . We have been told they will shift us there once it gets completed.
    INFRASTRUCTURE
    HOSTEL
    – There’s no government hostel provided. The college rented a private hostel . All the girls are in the same hostel ,where they pay 6500 per month. The boys are accommodated in different hostel building.
    The rooms are quite spacious and Really well maintained .
    Hot water ,washing machines , internet facility, mineral water ( 24×7) , sharing rooms ( 2 or 4 students per room ), security cameras , a bed and a cupboard is also provided.

    DAY SCHOLARS –
    There are 2 private vans which pick the students. The conditions of vans are quite good , per head pay is 6k .

    CAMPUS –
    The Biet campus is clean and spacious. There’s no library . We didn’t have any fest , fresher’s party yet . We did have sports day . One of the most refreshing aspects of our college is lush green biet campus . Surrounded by trees and plants all around . The environment is peaceful and soothing- a perfect setting for both studying and relaxing.

    CLINICAL EXPOSURE AND HOSPITAL:
    The college has been allowed Area hospital Vanasthalipuram , which is 30 mins from the college. The hospital has a good patients flow ,200 beds , a multi-speciality hospital . We have been taken to Family Adaption Programme where everyone of us were alloted 5 families . They took us to Primary Health Care Center and Anganwadi and there was a session on Basic Life Support.

    FACULTY AND ACADEMICS :
    Principal Dr.Triveni ma’am is dynamic and discipline leader who maintains a perfect balance between academic focus and student welfare . Superintendent,Dr .B Nagender , Government General Hospital Maheshwaram provided vaccines for Hepatitis B .
    The staff is strict when needed but always have the student’s best interest in mind .
    Faculty are highly knowledgeable, approachable and generally supportive . They not only teach well but also guide us beyond the class room- whether it’s reserch, practical learning or clearing doubts after hours. Their teaching methods are clear and most of them have years of experience, specially in clinical and practical areas ,most of them have been transferred from reputed colleges like Gandhi ,Omc ,Esic .
    In terms of academics there’s no need to worry and stress out .

    PROS AND CONS
    PROS : Good faculty, good labs , decent hostels ,lively environment.
    CONS : no government hostel , limited extracurriculars , private building ,no library.

    Overall , I’m satisfied with my college experience so far.
    The natural surroundings, excellent teaching staff , and leadership make it a great place to learn and grow
