Let’s understand in detail about the counselling process of NEET

In Telangana,
There are 2 types of colleges
Govt & private (non minority & minority)
There’s no semi govt colleges
Unlike in other states

In all Govt colleges across TS
– 85% seats are reserved for locals,Under State quota

– 15% seats are in ALL INDIA QUOTA (AIQ)

There are 2 types of Counselling

1. State counselling of TS by *KNRUHS*
2. All India Counselling by *MCC*

So 85% seats of govt colleges will be considered 100% seats under state counselling in which it’s reserved only for locals , there’s no NON LOCAL reservation in these A cat/competent authority quota seats

For Instance :
In a govt college there are 100 seats
85 seats will be for state quota
15 seats will be for AIQ

These 85 seats will be 100% state quota.
In which locals are eligible for A cat

And In the 15 seats of AIQ
We can compete and take thru that too based on merit

*Note : There’s no management quota seats in govt medical colleges*

The seats in private medical colleges of TS both non minority & minority aren’t in AIQ instead split under A cat / B cat / C cat

In A Cat is Convenor Quota/Competent authority quota : In which you’ll get free seat based on merit ( nominal tuition fees & miscellaneous fees shall be paid )

B & C cat(NRI) comes under management quota

Minority colleges :
– A cat = 60% seats
– B & C cat = 40%

Non Minority colleges :
– A cat = 50% seats
– B & C cat = 50% seats

Government Colleges : –
A cat 100% ( 85% state quota & 15% AIQ )
*NO B & C CAT IN GOVERNMENT COLLEGES*

*FEES IN MEDICAL COLLEGES:*

1. Government Colleges :
– 10k tuition fees
– 19k miscellaneous
– 12k allotment letter

40-50k for 1st year approximately

2. Private colleges :-
A cat –
– Tuition fees – 60k
– Miscellaneous – 45k to 1.5L
– Allotment letter – 12k

Approximately 1.3L to 2.5L
Depending upon the college

B cat –
– Tuition fees – 11.5L to 15LPA(MBBS) & 4.2 to 5 LPA (BDS)
– Miscellaneous – 45k to 1.5L
– Allotment letter – 40k(MBBS) & 20k (BDS)

C cat –
– Tuition fees – x2times of B cat for MBBS & x1.25times of B cat for BDS
– Miscellaneous 60k toh 1.5L
– Allotment letter : 70k MBBS & 40k BDS
